Reviews
A Hong Kong style family restaurant located inside a shopping mall. Quality seemed to have dropped with char siew not tasting like they had been properly grilled, very chewy and hard. The other dishes were nothing to shout about too, and mostly were not exactly warm when served. The milo dinosaur with a dinosaur ice was cute but tasted a bit diluted. Kind of overpriced for the standard of food served.
We frequent this place since its nearby but the service is getting from bad to worse. Staff just drop menu and QR for ordering without a word, food usually take a while to come but today was really bad. Chicken chop is so badly burnt, can see the amount we threw out and the burnt soot floating on soup. Didn't dare to ask for a new dish, judging from the staff's attitude, we were worried we might get some "extra garnish" if you know what I mean. Hope management can look into this, staff looks short-handed /over-worked which explains the poor attitude. Otherwise, food and ambience is usually good.
Their Char Siew Special fried rice came in a big plate of rice but 4 slices of pork which looked a bit miserable. Taste wise was good though. And they have a good variety of food on the menu!
Service was slow and unfriendly because they are severely understaffed. Had to wait so long to make payment because the cafe was left unattended with no staff for 15 minutes as they were all busy in the kitchen.
Long long long waittttt after order food, ask the lady staff, she say 'Im the only staff working'
Pork chop Olive fried rice- pork chop overcooked.
Chicken chop overcooked.
Hong Kong style beef fried kway teow only have small slices beef.
Very big different compare to my previous visit (2 years back) DISAPPOINTED!
Red Bean Pancake used to be my favourite but am disappointed when I received it. They change the recipes without informing + the actual product differ from the menu. Tasted weird and red bean filling is so little. I feel like I am eating a biscuit instead of a pancake. Sad... so I give 1 star for this dish.
Other than this, the rest of the food tasted yummy. No complaint.
bring my family go n eat lunch at Amk outlet. not msny customers only few tables including our table… Only saw 1 lady mansger with tatoo … n 1 staff with glasses…So after almost finish our meals… I ask the staff to serve our dessert…. after a while when she csme with the dessert…just leave it on the table… not even give us the some sharing bowls…. when I ask for some sharing bowl… she like not very happy …. while we having our dessert… I saw her bang here there … like not happy to work…. when outside got customers… cashiers counter… not even 1 staffs standby outside…. I saw both Managers n staffs eating their meals behind….
Located inside amk hub level 2 beside thai express. Since we can't decide where to lunch, guess xin wang is the more safe bet since they have quite a variety of food choice to choose. The olive fried rice($11.90) is yummy, not too oily and lot of eggs. The pork chop is quite okay too. The curry chee cheong fan ($5.90) was served piping hot and the portion is quite generous, quite alot of chicken. 👍
I’ve liked their Papaya Soup Bee Hoon for many years, but I was very disappointed today because the food standard has dropped:
1) Papaya Soup Bee Hoon
- the soup has no Papaya taste
- beehoon portion became lesser
- luncheon meat was very hard
2) Cheese Baked Teriyaki Chicken Rice
- overcooked, and the cheese is burnt
I gave feedback to the staff for the “burnt” cheese baked rice when I made payment, she said I should’ve told them earlier 😅
